The CANDL foundation is currently sponsoring the Grandfather Reads program, a literary show designed to encourage children to read and learn about the world around them. Grandfather Reads is a series of video tapes that takes the viewers on educational adventures using books and poetry. Each tape is approximately 30 minutes in length and shares life's experiences and wisdom using the world of books.
"Grandfather Reads" is Dr. Benjamin F. Reaves, a long time educator and avid reader. He is a kind, loving and gentle man who's warm smile and golden baritone voice portrays him as "America's Grandfather".
The CANDL Foundation has an agreement with the Grandfather Reads program to make available a set of three of these outstanding tapes. The CANDL Foundation has a vision to supply these tapes to schools, libraries, churches, synagogues and child care centers. You can let your light shine by allowing the CANDL Foundation to provide the tapes to your favorite environment for child development.
